Furniture Standard

Chinese and European standards:

Class E0 (formaldehyde emission ≤0.5mg/L)

Class E1(formaldehyde emission 0.5mg-1.5mg/L)

Class E2 (formaldehyde emission is greater than 1.5mg/L)

Class E1 formaldehyde content ≤ 1.5 mg / L (in line with European standards), Class E0 contains the least amount of formaldehyde, ≤ 0.5 mg / L (belong to the world's top standards)

Class E0 boards do not contain moisture-proofing agents and do not require gluing, so their toughness and moisture resistance are relatively low. Class E1 plates contain a small amount of glue and are relatively tough.

Japanese standard:

F ★ (≤5.0mg / L) formaldehyde emission per L is less than or equal to 5mg

F★★(≤1.5mg/L) Formaldehyde emission is less than or equal to 1.5mg per L

F★★★(≤0.5mg/L) Formaldehyde emission is less than or equal to 0.5mg per L

F ★ ★ ★ ★ (≤ 0.3mg / L) formaldehyde emission per L is less than or equal to 0.3mg

American standard:

P1 P2 and NAF, NAF is also called formaldehyde-free exemption certification.

P1: Phase P1 (Phase1) was implemented from January 1, 2009. It is required to test the formaldehyde emission of the board by the climate chamber method ASTM E 1333 or ASTM D 6007. The hard plywood (HWPW) must be less than 0.08ppm and the particle board (PB) Must be less than 0.18 ppm and medium density fiberboard (MDF) must be less than 0.21 ppm.

P2: The formaldehyde emission of the board must meet the requirements of the P1 standard; third party certification must be mandatory.

NAF: It is required to add any adhesive, concealer, putty and other substances containing formaldehyde in any part of the production process. For each link, it needs to be separately certified and demanding. It is also the most difficult certification standard in the world.
